Campus Recreation, one of the departments that puts the outdoor event together every year, released the names of the performers via live feed on its Web site.

Mims, whose real name is Shawn Mims, is best known for his song, "This is Why I'm Hot," which reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2008, Mims had another hit with the single "Move if You Wanna."

Sean Paul, originally from Kingston, Jamaica, is known for his reggae-inspired dance songs. Paul has been up for many international music awards, including his Grammy win for Best Raggae Album in 2004.

Two comedians, Aries Spears and Roy Woods Jr., will be serving as the opening act for the musical main event. Spears was a regular on MADtv and co-starred in "Hood of Horrors" with Snoop Dogg. Woods has been featured on shows such as the Late Show with David Letterman.

Eaglepalooza caps a week of pre-events designed to promote fitness to the student body. It will take place from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Nov. 20 at the rec fields. The event will include activities such as a mechanical bull, gladiator joust and a rock climbing wall.

The intramural football championships will also be held that night. The co-ed championship will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the men's championship will take place at 6:30 p.m.

Mims and Sean Paul will close the night with their performances.

The event is free for FGCU students who bring a valid Eagle I.D. Tickets are available to the public for $15 online and for $20 at the gate. For more information, visit the Campus Recreation Web site: http://www.fgcu.edu/CampusRec/Eaglepalooza.html.
