Student Financial Services is making the task of paying bills easier for students.
Additions were recently made to the Bill and Payment Center, a program accessible through Gulfline to pay all campus related bills.
As of Nov. 9 students have the option to pay bills by check, rather than credit card.
Credit card payments are available through TouchNet Pay Path, a third-party payment service. Students who pay bills online by credit card will pay a service charge of 2.75 percent of the bill there are paying. A $3 minimum is required when paying with a credit card.
The Bill and Payment Center now allows students to schedule their payment times throughout the semester, eliminating the worry of paying bills on time.
The updated system will remember your credit information for future payments and show exact dates of when bills are due.
Tuition, parking fines, library fines and housing bills can be paid at the Bill and Payment Center.
"The main goal is to offer these new features to students," said Mark Rusnak, bursar.
The Bill and Payment Center received a facelift as well.
"The new look is easier to navigate, it is user friendly," Rusnak said.
The changes made are part one of a two part update to the Bill and Payment Center.
Student Financial Services hopes to have part two available to students in the spring semester. The second update will provide students with electronic refunds.
Rusnak has only received positive feedback about the changes.
Rebecca Buchholz, a sophomore majoring in education, plans to utilize the new Bill and Payment Center features. Buchholz pays her housing and tuition bills online.
"It is convenient to pay online, I don't have to go anywhere," she said.
According to Rusnak, the majority of students pay their campus bills through Gulfline.
"In the beginning of the semester a lot of freshman will come to the window (Cashiers window) and pay, once they are comfortable they begin to pay online," Rusnak said.
